Mr. Nichols joined Newkirk Environmental Inc. in 1990 as a field biologist. His primary responsibilities with the firm now include project and business management along with senior supervision of wetland delineations, endangered species assessments, state and federal wetlands permitting and mitigation. He has dealt extensively with Corps of Engineers staff regarding verification of boundaries and wetland permitting procedures, as well as successfully permitting and operating six mitigation banks. He also has extensive experience working with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service regarding threatened and endangered species surveys, completion of biological assessments and Section 7, 9, & 10 consultations. Mr. Nichols' experience extends through the southeast with specific experience in South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia.
